About YGAM Innovation

Welcome to YGAM Innovation, the trading arm of the education charity Young Gamblers Education Trust (known as YGAM). Incorporated in 2015, YGAM has a social purpose to inform, educate and safeguard young people against problem gambling and social gaming. In this time, YGAM has worked with over 600 education organisations and reached out to over 40,000 young people.

More recently, YGAM has been invited to work even closer with the gambling industry, public health, local authorities, and the criminal justice sector to specifically develop, pilot, and evaluate accredited training programmes, aimed at colleagues working on the front line to raise awareness around gambling & gaming-related harm. In order to make our training of the highest quality and have the most impact, we have worked with the global, Ofqual-approved Award Body Pearson, to develop customised qualifications for these colleagues at Levels 1, 2, and 3.

YGAM Innovation does not impose a set programme or qualification on your business or organisation. We recognise that each business or organisation has different needs and different stakeholders. Therefore, by working together and alongside Pearson, we can develop a programme or qualification that is customised to your needs and brings together all the strands of your current training programme. We then develop a framework to ensure your training allows for colleagues to receive an approved Pearson qualification. This unique approach will add further credibility to your current training, enable your colleagues to achieve a formal qualification and help bring about a minimum professional standard for training around gambling-related harm in the United Kingdom.
